The World is the arcana of total accomplishment. Dancing at the center of the laurel wreath, it celebrates fullness, achievement and perfect harmony with the universe.
At the center of a laurel wreath, a figure dances, weightless, a veil floating around her. At the four corners watch the angel, the eagle, the bull and the lion — the four elements, the four cardinal points, all that exists. The World is the last numbered card of the Tarot of Marseille: the journey begun by The Fool ends here, in fullness.
