Major Arcana 0 — Tarot of Marseille
The Fool
Meaning of the card: general sense, love, career, money and health.
General Meaning
The Fool is the eternal traveler, leaping forward without looking back. He embodies absolute freedom, creative unconsciousness and the courage to venture into the unknown.
The Fool walks toward the edge of the world, bundle on his shoulder, never looking where he sets his feet. An animal claws at his leg — whether to hold him back or push him onward, no one knows. The only card of the Tarot of Marseille without a fixed number, he belongs nowhere in the sequence of arcana: he is movement itself, the raw energy that passes through every other card without ever settling.
In a reading, The Fool announces a departure, a fresh impulse, a freedom regained — but also the risk of recklessness. He invites you to dare without guarantees, to leave behind what confines you, to trust the road rather than the destination. Badly surrounded, he warns against scattering your energy, fleeing responsibility and wandering without purpose. His question is simple: are you setting out toward something, or running away from something?
The card in the four spheres of life
In Love
Your relationships disappoint you. Bonds are insecure and a sense of drift settles in emotional exchanges. You tend to reject all constraints in love. Feelings are expressed lightly, making you appear irresponsible. Unstable, insecure relationships with unfulfilled promises. Intimate exchanges are very original or nonexistent.
Career
A period of drift surrounds activity. You evolve in your working life with ease and carelessness, fleeing responsibility. You need freedom and independence. Ideas jostle and coordination is difficult. A lack of discipline does not favor satisfying progress. You risk having an unconventional job — but also genius!
Money & Finances
Your expenses exceed your means. You lack good judgment regarding money. Finances are managed carelessly. There is total disinterest in your budget balance. You live day to day, giving in to crazy impulses. A need for material freedom will be felt.
Health
You will feel psychologically exhausted. Hypernerousness predisposes you to disordered actions or mental disturbance. A little rest will restore your calm.
