The Tower

General Meaning
The Tower is struck by lightning from heaven. The sudden collapse it announces is also a purification — false structures yield so that truth can emerge.
A proud tower is struck at its summit by lightning; its crown flies off, two figures fall — or dive — toward the ground, surrounded by colored droplets that look less like debris than a rain of grace. The Tower tells of the collapse of what was built too high, too rigid, too false. The lightning destroys only what needed to fall.
In a reading, this card announces a sudden upheaval: a project collapsing, a certainty shattering, a rupture, a brutal revelation. The shock is real — but it liberates. What collapses is the structure that had become a prison; what still stands afterward is true.
